Toilet Training Policy for BeachSports

At BeachSports, we want every kid to have an amazing time! To help ensure a fun, safe, and comfortable experience for everyone, all participants need to be fully toilet trained before joining us. This means they should wear a bathing suit or underwear, not training pants. If a child is having daily accidents, we may not consider them fully toilet trained just yet.

We understand that toilet training is an important developmental step, and being able to manage bathroom routines independently is essential for our programs. To make things clear for parents and guardians, we’ve outlined our toilet training policy to explain what we expect from participants. We also understand that even well-trained children might have the occasional accident – it happens! However, these should be rare and not something that happens regularly.

Here’s what it means for a child to be fully toilet trained:

  • They can tell an adult when they need to use the restroom, with enough time to get there.

  • They know when it’s time to stop playing and take a bathroom break.

  • They can pull down and pull up their clothes on their own.

  • They’re able to wipe themselves properly after using the toilet.

  • They can get on and off the toilet safely and independently.

  • They know how to wash and dry their hands afterward.

  • They can wait a little if the restroom is occupied.

We ask that children complete all toileting activities without adult assistance, so it’s helpful to dress them in clothes they can easily manage by themselves. If a child continues to have frequent accidents, they may not yet be ready to fully participate in program activities.

Thank you for your understanding and support in making BeachSports a great experience for everyone!
