Food Allergies and Dietary Restrictions

At BeachSports, we take food allergies and special dietary needs very seriously. During the registration process, you’ll have the opportunity to provide detailed information about any food allergies your child may have along with any other medical conditions our staff should be aware of. These notes will appear on the Coaches roster when the participant checks in for their program. If you'd like to share additional information with the Coach, you may do so during check-in on the first day or you can speak with our team in the office anytime.

Severe or Life-Threatening Allergies

If your child has a severe or life-threatening food allergy, please note that all food provided by Walker’s Catering is prepared and sourced off-site. While we make every effort to ensure safety, we cannot guarantee that the snacks or lunches provided will be free from allergens. To prioritize your child’s safety, we require that families send food from home for the week.

We recognize the importance of accommodating food allergies and dietary restrictions and strive to support families with these specific needs. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected].

EpiPen Policy

If your participant will be bringing an EpiPen to our program, please make a note of that during registration as well as let the Coach on the beach know when you drop your participant off. If you will be requesting the Coach hold onto the EpiPen during camp, we will require you to sign our EpiPen release form as BeachSports and our Coaches are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged EpiPen's.

Our Coaches are not legally allowed, and are not professionally trained, to administer an EpiPen. However, our Head Coaches receive unofficial training prior to each season and are able to assist the child in administering their own EpiPen. Additionally, in the event the use of an EpiPen is necessary, the participant will likely be rushed to the LA County Lifeguard on duty to administer the EpiPen.
