What are Groups?
Updated over a month ago

As you may have noticed, you are required to select a Group when registering for a BeachSports Program. For example, "SURF Program // Group A".

What are groups?
โ€‹
Groups are our way of predetermining coach and participant assignments. We've found that trying to do this on the beach the first day can take up a lot of precious program time as well as result in unhappy kids, specifically when they aren't grouped with their friends or siblings.

Groups will remain together and with the same Coaches* Monday through Friday.

Ensure you end up with your friends and siblings!

By enrolling in a specific Group in advance, you guarantee your kid(s) will participate in all program activities with their friends or siblings the entire week. If you're coordinating with a group of friends, simply determine which Program and Group letter (ex. SURF Program // Group A) you'll be enrolling in and complete your registrations on your own.

What's the difference between the Groups?

Program curriculum is the same in each Group so no matter which Group you enroll in, you will experience the same awesome activities, games and lessons. For example, SURF Program // Group A will be the same experience as SURF Program // Group B. The only difference will be the Coach leading the Group and the kids participating in it.

*Our goal is to ensure Coaches work with the same group from Monday through Friday, however, it's possible for various reasons, including coach illness or scheduling conflicts, that a substitute Coach will need to fill a coach role for the day.
