Coach Josephine “Jo” Rielly and the BeachSports team at 6th St. are excited to share an awesome week with you on the beach! Coach Jo is the Location Director at 6th St. and your point of contact for any questions you may have during the week. Jo brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to BeachSports. She grew up participating in the LA County Junior Lifeguard program from ages 9-17, and after joining BeachSports as a coach, spent four years leading our former JG's program as Head Coach. A 2022 graduate of Santa Clara University with a degree in psychology and minors in sociology and urban education, Jo stepped into the Location Director role last summer and quickly became beloved by campers, parents, and staff alike. She’s recently returned from a teaching program in Madrid and is excited to be back for another fun-filled summer. This will be Jo’s seventh year with BeachSports, and she can’t wait to welcome you all to the beach!

Pick-Up and Drop-Off Procedure: Click Here for Directions
Location: 6th Street & Ocean Dr.
Approach our drop-off location from the north either via 6th Place or 7th and Ocean Dr.
Drop-Off as early as 8:45AM and Pick-Up as early as 1:45PM for a quicker experience. Expect up to a 10-minute wait at peak times.
Parents/guardians please remain in the car. If you would like to speak with the coaches, please find public parking and walk to the pick-up/drop-off area.

What to Bring:
Rashguard (One will be provided Monday for new participants. Returners please bring your rashguard from your previous week(s))
Swimsuit
Sunscreen (Please arrive with sunscreen already applied)
Towel
Hat
Sweatshirt
Boogie Board (provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own)
Large refillable water bottle
Snack x 2
